Sarah
Sarah came into see the Petra Team to discus remodelling some inherited jewellery into pieces that she could wear day to day.
Together with her friend and our designer Beth, we decided to make a contemporary ring and a solid gold charm for Sarah’s pandora bracelet.
Beth and Sarah got to work designing the charm to start with. Sarah’s charm was to be made using a family wedding ring and a diamond from an eternity ring. Between the two of them Beth and Sarah decided they it would be nice to incorporate the engraving on the charm from the wedding ring.
Our master goldsmith Behzad got to work by melting down Sarah’s gold and created two bowl like structures that were then soldered together the form the charm.
Behzad also created a simple setter in which Sarah’s diamond would be set into. Our master setter Ian was the man uncharge of setting in Sarah’s diamond.
Once the charm had been put together our expert hand engraver Ian added the final details to Sarah’s charm.
It’s safe to say the finished charm was simply beautiful!
