Mike's Wedding band

Heather and Mike enjoyed an Afternoon Tea at Petra Jewellery to discuss having their wedding bands made.

Heather had some inherited gold from her family which we melted down to create her beautiful wishbone ring. you can read about it here:

Then it was Mike’s turn…

We had some 18ct gold leftover from Heather’s ring that we wanted to incorporate just a small amount of to tie the rings together. Then the bulk of Mike’s wedding band was to be made from a very special charm…a solid gold dog house.

Mike picked out his favourite profile and chose the width of the band as well as a polish finish. He also wanted an engraving inside to match Heather’s which was their wedding date.

The gold was melted down by Behzad. He then rolled it until it was the correct width and depth and shaped it to the right finger size for Mike.

Then it was filed and polished to perfection before being hallmarked and engraved!

You can watch the charm being melted here, it really is fascinating! The finished ring is beautiful and the two make such a lovely pair! Congratulations to Mike and Heather on their upcoming wedding!
