Rosetta
Rosetta wanted a ring designing but due to lockdown was unable to visit the shop.
Thankfully, this wasn't a problem as we are still very much operating on a remote basis. You can contact us via email, telephone or social media, and we can advise you from there via video call.
In Rosetta’s case, she has had some items designed by us before, so simply sent us an email to info@petrajewellery.com. She sent over an example photo of a ring that she loved, but wanted to put her own spin on it.
Our designer Natalie picked up the email, and got straight to work designing a ring based on the design that Rosetta liked.
Rosetta couldn’t decide which colour metal she preferred, so we decided to use a combination of white and yellow gold to create this unusual design.
The milgrain detailing is usually used in Art Deco designs, but the combination of the metals gives the overall finish a much more modern feel.
We then got to work creating this beautiful ring. It was cast at our external casting workshop, and then hand set and finished.
When Rosetta collected the ring she was speechless with the result.
Despite the lockdown we were able to complete this commission communicating solely via email and telephone, however it was lovely to have Rosetta come to our car park to collect the finished piece! (All socially distanced of course!)
The finished ring is a beautiful example of what was still be achieved during lockdown.
