Angie
Angie visited the Petra team last summer to discuss remodelling some of her rings. Angie wanted to combine three very sentimental rings together to create an every day wear ring combining elements of all three rings.
Angie worked closely with our designer Beth to create her new ring. During her design appointment Beth showed Angie lots of different ring samples to help get a better understanding of what style of ring Angie was looking for. After looking at some different samples Angie loved the idea of going for something quite contemporary in style.
Beth showed Angie one of our plait ring examples which she instantly fell in love with. Working with this design in mind together Beth and Angie came up with a design that would incorporate angles diamonds and rubies.
Looking at Angie’s other pieces of jewellery to combine a matte and polished finish to the ring to compliment a pendant we had previously commissioned for Angie.
Once the design had been finalised it was given to our master goldsmith Behzad to get to work.
Behzad started by making a plain band using Angie’s gold. He then created a plait design on. piece of paper and used this as a guide to start filing Angie’s ring.
Once Behzad had created the band, Angie’r ring was then sent to out setter Richard for him to flush set alternate rubies and diamonds into the ring.
Once we have received Angie’s ring back it was given o Behzad for the final clean and polish.
Angie was over the moon with her finished ring.
