Marianne's repaired wedding ring
Marianne came in to have her wedding ring removed after years of daily wear, the ring had become too small for her finger and was going to have to be cut off.
However, Jo came up with a solution so Marianne didn’t have to have the ring cut off. Jo was able to use a string technique to manoeuvre the ring off her finger safely.
Once Marianne’s finger had time to adjust (having an ill fitted ring on for a long period of time can cause indentation in the skin and by allowing time for the finger to ‘heal’ we can size the finger correctly). The correct ring size was found and the ring went into workshop to be resized.
Marianne described to Abi that the ring had originally had an engraved ivy pattern around the ring, they both looked at some different options for designs to get the ring looking like it had all those years ago.
Once the ring had returned back from being hand engraved it was given a final touch with a much needed rhodium plate.
It looked like a brand new ring!
