Natalie
Natalie came to us because she wasn’t entirely happy with her engagement ring.
This can often happen. Although the ring is so special to you, sometimes it just isn’t quite right. In Natalie’s case, because of how low set the diamond was, it didn’t sit snug next to her other rings and didn’t show off her beautiful diamond properly.
During a design appointment with our designer Natalie (same name!), we decided that we wanted to keep as much of the original ring as possible, but just make it all about the centre diamond.
Natalie was originally open to redesigning her wedding and eternity rings along with her engagement ring, but after discussing this with us, she agreed that as they were already so beautiful, we should just clean them up and re-build the engagement ring to compliment them.
After the design was agreed, our goldsmith got to work. He began by cutting out the existing collet, and then building the shank to raise it up and allow for the wedding and eternity ring to sit comfortably next to it. Then we sent the ring to our master setter to have diamonds added to the shoulders to make the three rings look more like a complete set.
Although the essence of the original engagement ring is definitely still there, the finished piece looks more modern, and features an exquisite mount for Natalie’s amazing centre diamond.
Then came the moment of truth… what it looked like next to the other two rings.
I think you will agree that the three rings together look divine. They look amazing both independently, and as a set. What a lot of sparkle!
