Chloë's Emerald Engagement ring

Matt was looking for a unique engagement ring to propose to Chloë with.

He knew Chloë wanted an emerald, as it is her favourite gemstone, but was unsure of the different gemstone cuts and hues that emeralds come in.

Abi selected a few of our more contemporary engagement ring options and Matt decided he liked a bypass style ring in rose gold set with an central asscher cut emerald.

An asscher cut is a beautiful choice for an emerald, as it is also known as the square emerald cut. Combining the tradition emerald cut style which you picture when thinking of this gemstone but in a square cut which works great for this bypass style ring.

So Abi drew up a design for Matt and once he was happy with the final sketch, a CAD image was made as Matt preferred the idea of casting, over hand making the ring.

Matt had a planned date he was going to propose to Chloë, so after the proposal they both came into the Cottage to choose the perfect emerald from a selection Abi had picked out.

Once they had chosen their perfect gemstone we were ready to start making Chloë’s ring!

and it looked beautiful!

So it was time to get Chloë in to see her brand new ring…

and she was delighted!
