Wendy's butterfly pendant
Tara was looking to have a unique pendant made to commemorate her mum Wendy’s birthday.
As Wendy’s birthday is in April Tara and her Dad were excited to gift a bespoke piece with a her birthstone, a diamond, set into it. Tara also knew she either wanted a pendant in the shape of a heart or a butterfly. As both are sentimental symbols to Wendy.
Tara came up with some different design ideas with Abi. The piece had to be dainty but still incorporate a heart or butterfly motif. Abi suggested a design using both elements and sketched a design with a butterfly flying up to heart with the diamond flush set into the heart made out of sterling silver.
Tara absolutely loved the idea and after approving the final design, we set to work getting it ready for Wendy’s birthday.
Our talented goldsmith. Behzad, handmade the butterfly and the heart by cutting the pieces out of silver sheet. Both of the pieces were then given a polish and attached to a fine curb chain. He has such a keen eye for detail that he even created the intricate detail of the butterflies abdomen.
The finished pendant looked utterly beautiful and Abi was so excited for Tara to see the finished pendant.
Tara was so pleased with the finished piece and could not wait to gift it to her mum.
