Hannah and Matthew
Hannah and Matthew came to us to design their bespoke wedding rings.
Hannah had a beautiful flowered cluster diamond engagement ring which would require a fitted wedding ring to be built around it.
With fitted wedding rings, it is so important that the fit is just right.
For this reason we generally ask that you leave your engagement ring with us to give to the goldsmith, so that he can keep referring back to it to make sure that it fits it absolutely perfectly.
He will only keep it for as long as he needs it which is usually around 1 week, and then he will sparkle it up and give it back to you whilst we finish the rest of the ring.
Here is a close up for Hannah’s finished ring. The curve in the top of the band is designed to cup around the bottom of her diamond flower, and then the shanks of both rings fit perfectly together.
Matthew thought his ring would be simple, but having seen a few designs got excited about the endless possibilities!
He certainly didn’t want anything too fussy, but having seen a number of designed decided upon this gorgeous design with a brushed finish and a polished line engraved through the centre.
He chose platinum as his alloy, as not only does it match Hannah’s wedding and engagement ring, but is also the strongest and most durable of the precious metals.
Although very different, the two finished rings make a stunning set.
