Carol had recently, very sadly lost her mum.
She had her mums wedding ring, but didn’t want to wear it as a ring. She visited us to discuss making it into a pendant she could wear instead.
Carol made it very clear that she didn’t want the wedding ring altered. It had a few scratches and was slightly misshapen, but that was how her mum wore it so it was so important that we kept it the same.
Our goldsmith Behzad took great care when adding the bail. You need a very steady hand but he has been goldsmithing for 30 years and is the perfect person to complete such a delicate job.
During the design consultation, it was important that we discussed with Carol which chain she wanted to wear the ring on. The ring is 22ct Yellow gold but the chain was going to be 18ct Yellow gold. For this reason we built the bail in 18ct Yellow gold so that it wouldn’t wear the chain down.
Little details like this are why it is so important to discuss your ideas with expert designers as they will think of these little but important details for you.
The different coloured bail gives the pendant a lovely bespoke look to it.
Now Carol can wear her mum’s wedding ring close to her every day.
