Alice
Alice had an appointment with our designer Natalie to come up with a design for a ring for her birthday.
She knew that she definitely wanted an Amethyst as this is her favourite stone, but was open to ideas on how to incorporate it into a ring. She definitely didn't want it to look like an engagement ring, so we had to go big with the centre stone to give it more of a dress ring feel, whilst still being appropriate as an everyday wear ring.
The stone was sourced by our gemstone dealer Keith, who sent a variety of stones for Alice to choose from.
Once Alice had chosen the perfect stone, she and Natalie came up with a lot of different ideas until they had the perfect design for an amethyst dress ring.
She was able to see the design for the ring before it was made and make changes.
When the design was finalised, the ring was hand made by our goldsmith. He built the rubover setting around the stone to ensure the perfect fit to best hold and protect the stone. It was then sent to our master setter who did a beautiful job setting all 3 stones.
Alice was over the moon with the finished piece. She sent us a photo of the finished ring. The amethyst is absolutely stunning!
