What is a Workshop Experience?
Have you heard of our workshop experiences?
We are so lucky at Petra Jewellery to have an on-site workshop with our own master goldsmith, Behzad.
This gives us the opportunity to know how our pieces are made, what the process takes and how we can better design your jewellery using the knowledge and advice we get from Behzad.
It also gives us the unique opportunity to invite you into the workshop to get hands-on in not only the designing, but the making of your special piece.
If you’re thinking about having a bespoke piece of jewellery made with us, whether it’s remodelling some existing jewellery, making your wedding bands or an engagement ring, we can offer you a Workshop Experience as part of the journey.
The first step is booking your design appointment (or a 30 minute chat if you’re just looking to ask some questions at this stage):
You’ll work with your designer to finalise the piece and then we can get a quote from our goldsmith to make it. Then, we can offer you a session with Behzad to start the making!
You can have a go at melting your metal, rolling it, shaping it and even come back at the very end to do the final clean and polish and take your piece home.
There are some parts of the process that we have to leave in Behzad’s capable hands but we can take progress videos and photos so that you don’t miss out on anything. Your designer can discuss with you how you can get involved!
Carole came to the workshop and melted down some of her jewellery to create a stunning new emerald and diamond ring. It doesn’t look like much, but she ended up with a heavy ingot of 18ct gold to make her ring!

We love being able to offer a unique experience to everyone that comes into the workshop, it creates lasting memories and gives more meaning to the finished pieces. It’s also given us a huge appreciation of Behzad’s skill and hard work!
