Fenella
Fenella had a pink sapphire and diamond halo ring made to celebrate a special birthday.
On a Trip to JIL trade show in London, Fenella bought a peachy pink oval cut sapphire.
For her birthday later in the year she had it set in 18ct yellow gold surrounded by diamonds.
The ring was created using CAD, computer aided design, to her exact specification. Fenella designed her own ring, sending the hand drawn sketches and stones to one of our specialist CAD goldsmiths.
She was able to see the design for the ring before it was made and make changes.
When the design was finalised, the ring was made using a technique called wax lost casting. This is where a wax pattern is 3D printed form the CAD design and cast in metal.
The yellow gold makes the pink in the centre stone pop!
