Aquamarine Pendant

 

A totally handmade piece can be made to your exact requirements.

 

With a new ring for example can specify the height the stone is set, the width of the ring shank, the way it might taper in width and your preferred profile.

 

With this aquamarine pendant we showed the customer different centre stones and played around with different size diamonds to get the desired proportions.

Cast Ring With Oval Ruby

 

Casting a piece of jewellery from a mould can be a cost effective way of creating more complex or 'sculptured' designs.

 

We have an extensive collection of classic and contemporary designs we can cast in most metals and then finish either with a stone we've helped you select or your own stones.

 

We can create copies of almost anything too; moulds can be made of costume jewellery or a lost earring for example to make a replica.

Using cast components

 

Sometimes we need to make what you want using cast components and then assemble the piece. This is still should be more cost effective than totally hand-making everything.

 

This picture is an example of a pendant made with three separate four claw collets (settings) and a solid bail (the bit the chain goes through).  We could make this with various setting and bail styles.

 

This pendant was commissioned for 3 children's birthstones; green tourmaline, emerald and peridot.

Using Your Gold

 

Whilst hand-making a ring can be quite labour intensive; if you provide the materials then you can save a lot of money. It also can mean you use pieces of huge sentimental value in your new design.

 

We can melt down old gold of different carats and even platinum.  Any leftover metal can be sold as scrap to off-set the costs if you want.

Using Old Stones

 

Often we see jewellery where the metal has worn quite thin over the years or simply wasn't a great design in the first place. We can take old stones out of old pieces and set them into something new.

 

Your stones can be set into new cast mounts, hand-made mounts or we can use your gold too; we can talk you through all your options.

 

This ring has been made with an old diamond and using the original yellow gold. We added new white gold.

Rings

 

We make rings for people for so many reasons. They have to look right and be practical; they can be quite a design challenge.

 

You might want something similar to design you've already seen, your ring might need to work with other rings, you might want us to find a particular cornflower blue sparkling sapphire...whatever your wishes we will guide you through the design process and you can get as involved as you want to be.

 

The above ring is quite a 'dressy' classic contemporary cluster ring design set with an amazing brown diamond and smaller white diamonds.

Pendants

 

Pendants are often a reflection of your personality and style and we tend to have more to go with different outfits for different occasions. In pendants stones are subject to far less impact than in rings and therefore you have a magnificent selection of gems stones to choose from!

 

This is a modern claw set pendant with a round brilliant cut diamond. This can be made to suit a large range of budgets. It is often sensible to make the pedant first then try it on with different chains before making a decision.
