Bespoke jewellery

Do you do commissions?

Yes, this is what we love to do and have specialized in making bespoke jewellery for over 40 years now.

What if I don’t have a clue what I want?

Don’t worry, we have some people come in with pretty firm design ideas, pictures, even their own sketches to a totally blank canvas. Either way we talk you through the whole process and make sure we end up with a design that ticks all the boxes: style, practicality, looks and longevity.

How do I set a budget?

We appreciate you might not have ever done anything like this before so we can show you examples of what we’ve made before and give you indicative costs.

Once we have a feel for what you’d like made we can give you an idea of what the labour and materials are going to be and then play around with stone quality and size to meet a particular budget.

Often, we find once you understand what you’re getting it’s easier to decide on what your priorities and budget are. We’re also used to providing some price options too and then helping you decide. We will never push you to spend more, it has to feel right.

How do I decide what metal to go for?

We will help you decide through education and showing you examples. Cost might come in to it too but we won’t make a piece in a metal that isn’t suitable just to save money; it’s a false economy.

How is my new piece of jewellery made?

Most of the timer it will be handmade by our very small team of carefully selected goldsmiths.

We also have a goldsmith who is a CAD expert and he can provide computer aided design images for you to preview before we then cast and hand finish your piece. This is great for more complicated 3D designs and is often really cost effective.

What do you need to proceed once we’ve agreed on everything?

We take a 50% deposit which you can pay online, over the ‘phone or in-store, this then fixes all the materials costs and enables us to get started.

Can I pay in installments?

Yes, you just need to have paid the final balance before leaving the shop with it.
